With a solid background in clinical care and innovations in clinical informatics, Tariq Dastagir is focused, dedicated and passionate in his initiatives to help develop healthcare solutions that make a difference. Using vision, his ability to see the big picture, and his strengths of focus and analytic problem solving, he has successfully initiated and helped implement innovations in electronic health records. Backing up his passion for innovation and leadership in clinical informatics, Tariq holds board certification in internal medicine, experience as both a clinician and clinical informaticist, and is currently working as medical director for clinical data analytics. After he completed his internal medicine residency from Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, he worked as hospitalist. It was while working as a hospitalist that he developed a deep interest in the implementation and study of clinicians' attitudes towards Electronic Medical Records. His research interests include change management around EHR implementation and clinician training for optimal EHR utilization for providing improved quality care while enhancing physicians' productivity. Driven by his values of integrity, hard work, helping others and making a difference, Tariq's passion is to revolutionize healthcare industry by helping to develop the most actionable data analytic product with effective use of artificial intelligence and usability principles to help clinicians deliver higher quality, cost-effective and patient-focused care.
